Houston health authorities suspended monkeypox vaccinations until additional shots are delivered by the federal government.
The halt was announced less than a week after the fourth-largest US city received its first shipment of about 5,000 doses, according to a statement from the health department Thursday. Houston has 58 confirmed cases.
“The department will announce the availability of additional vaccination appointments after it receives additional doses of the Jynneos monkeypox vaccine,” according to the statement.
