Two leaders of the House Democratic Women’s Caucus said they plan to push back on any proposal that seeks to cut Medicaid funding or impose new work requirements.
“Having health care is the difference in life and death,” Rep. Gwen Moore (D-Wis.) said Tuesday at a press briefing in Washington.
The lawmakers’ remarks come in response to concerns that GOP proposals amid a debate over raising the federal debt limit would lead to large cuts to health and welfare programs like Medicaid.
