A $9 billion reimbursement from the Biden administration will serve as the remedy for hospitals shortchanged in a federal drug discount program.
The Health and Human Services Department’s final rule (RIN: 0938-AV18) will reimburse hospitals to offset payment cuts in how they were reimbursed for drugs acquired under the 340B discount drug pricing program.
