Home Health Company Wants High Court Review of Medicare Fraud Case

A home health-care provider in Tennessee is asking the U.S. Supreme Court to throw out a whistleblower’s allegations that it committed fraud to receive millions in Medicare payments.

A former employee of Brookdale Senior Living filed the False Claims Act complaint in 2012. She alleges the company’s “aggressive solicitation” of patients violated regulations because doctors didn’t properly certify the need for home care.
