Home Health Care Companies Face EEOC Pay Discrimination Lawsuit

Inova Home Health LLC and Alternate Solutions Health Network LLC face a pay discrimination lawsuit brought by the US Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the agency said Monday.

Virginia-based IHH and ASHN—which owns in part and manages IHH—allegedly paid female post-acute care coordinators less than male PACCs for performing equal work under similar working conditions. After receiving complaints of pay discrimination, ASHN and IHH refused to adjust female PACCs’ wages, the agency said.

Such alleged conduct is in violation of Title VII of the 1964 Civil Rights Act and the Equal Pay Act of 1963. The EEOC is seeking back pay, ...
