The National Association for Home Care and Hospice sued Medicare and the Department of Health and Human Services over changes in home health payment.
The NAHC filed a lawsuit in the US District Court for the District of Columbia after Medicare reduced payment rates to 3.925% in 2023, and is now proposing an additional 2.2% decrease in 2024, or an estimated $375 million cut for home health agencies.
The NAHC sued Wednesday, just days after the Biden administration proposed the Medicare cuts, arguing that calculated payment cuts were invalid and will, or are already, limiting access to care for patients. ...
