Patent and Trademark Office Commissioner Drew Hirshfeld will fill the duties of the director as the Biden administration takes the White House, according to an email sent to staff Wednesday.
The announcement comes a day after Andrei Iancu announced he was leaving the role of PTO director, to which he was appointed by former President Donald Trump.
