HILL ENERGY BRIEFING: Carper Permitting Plan Favors Climate

Senate Democrats are proposing today to accelerate federal permitting for transmission and climate resiliency efforts—but not fossil fuel projects.

A draft bill, obtained by Bloomberg Government, aims to remove barriers for renewable energy projects, provide more regulatory certainty for industry, and promote consulting early and often with communities directly affected by energy and infrastructure projects.
