The Department of Health and Human Services told its employees Monday that it’s not mandatory for them to respond to a government-wide email asking federal workers to share their recent job achievements.
The instruction comes after the health agency’s directive Sunday evening, which told HHS workers to “pause” activities answering the Office of Personnel Management’s email that directed federal employees to submit a bullet-point summary of their work from the last week.
