U.S. hospitals, health systems, suppliers, pharmaceutical companies, and other industry stakeholders are invited to pledge to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and increase climate resilience, according to the Department of Health and Human Services announcement Friday.
The pledge asks signees to commit to reduce their emissions 50% by 2030 and to net zero by 2050, publicly report on their progress, and designate an executive lead, according to the department.
