HHS Pushes Appeals Court to OK Workforce Firings During Appeal

The Trump administration is urging a federal appeals court to allow it to continue with US Department of Health and Human Services workforce reductions while litigation over the issue plays out.

The HHS’ emergency motion, filed Wednesday, urges the US Court of Appeals for the First Circuit to stay a lower court order halting the department from carrying out mass firings during the appeal.
