Health-care practitioners can expect a slew of guidance documents from the government this year, covering everything from social media privacy to the rationale for assessing penalties.
The guidance is a priority for the Health and Human Services Office for Civil Rights, Iliana Peters, a senior adviser for HIPAA compliance and enforcement at the OCR, said during the Health Care Compliance Association’s Compliance Institute in Washington March 27.
