Medicare drug plans will be given more power to negotiate prices, and the health system for seniors will begin negotiating prices for drugs administered by doctors, the head of the HHS pledged May 16.
“Let me be really clear about this: We are going to bring negotiation to Part B drugs, and we are going to give Part D plans more bargaining power,” Health and Human Services Secretary Alex Azar said at a briefing sponsored by the American Enterprise Institute.
