HHS Chief Promises Aggressive Fight to Protect Abortion Rights

New regulations to protect abortion are being explored by the Biden administration as it comes up against courtroom and legislative challenges threatening to limit reproductive rights in the US, Health and Human Services Secretary Xavier Becerra said.

“We will do everything we can, including go to court, to ensure the rights of all Americans when it comes to access to their health care,” Becerra told reporters Wednesday. He also said administration officials “continue to explore” regulatory authorities to ensure access to reproductive services.
