The federal HealthCare.gov Obamacare exchange will be shut down as many as 12 hours most Sundays during the 2018 open enrollment, the HHS confirmed.
The federal website, used by 39 states that don’t operate their own exchanges, will be closed for maximum overnight periods of 12 a.m. to 12 p.m. Eastern time every Sunday except Dec. 10, a Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services spokeswoman told Bloomberg BNA in an email Sept. 26.
