Health Tech Researcher Named New HHS CTO

Long-time health and technology researcher Susannah Fox was named the Department of Health and Human Services’ next chief technology officer May 28.

Fox, formerly an entrepreneur in residence at the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, announced her appointment on the HHS’s IDEA Lab blog. Fox promised in the blog post to continue the work of her predecessors, which she said focused primarily on encouraging innovation and entrepreneurship within the HHS as well as opening public data to health researchers.

“I’m a health data geek from way back and think we’ve only just begun to harness its power,” she said.
