The office responsible for testing Medicare and Medicaid payment innovations will have a new leader the week of April 9, HHS Secretary Alex Azar said.
Azar April 6 named Adam Boehler, the founder and chief executive officer of a California health company, to head the Center for Medicare & Medicaid Innovation or CMMI. The CMMI is the Medicare agency’s test lab for health-care payment and service delivery models. According to the office’s website, Amy Bassano is the acting leader of the CMMI.
