Health-Care Worker Vaccine Mandate Rule OK’d for Publication

An interim final rule requiring Covid-19 vaccination for health-care workers at facilities paid by Medicare and Medicaid has cleared White House review and can publish at any time.

The health-care industry has led the charge for vaccine mandates in the workplace, with many hospitals and health systems requiring the jab for their staff before state and federal orders to do so.

The rule (RIN 0938-AU75) went through an expedited process due to the public health emergency. It will take effect as soon as it is published in the Federal Register. The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services may solicit feedback ...
