Guinea has signed a $143 million memorandum of understanding with the US to boost health systems in the West African nation, Finance Minister Mariama Ciré Sylla said in a video posted on Facebook.
The five-year agreement, part of the US State Department’s America First Global Health Strategy, aims to strengthen Guinea’s health security, accelerate the fight against malaria, and permanently eliminate polio.
“This signing marks the beginning of a new phase in the strategic partnership between the US and Guinea, serving the health, development, and prosperity of our nation,” Sylla said.
