Guardian Pharmacy of Atlanta LLC and a whistleblower have settled a False Claims Act suit alleging that the long-term care pharmacy engaged in a kickback scheme.
Henry B. Heller and Guardian on Thursday filed a stipulation of dismissal with the US District Court for the Northern District of Georgia.
Terms of the settlement weren’t made available. Counsel for the parties didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment.
Heller alleged that Guardian violated the FCA by providing assisted living communities free or low-cost services they would otherwise have to purchase. In exchange, the communities gave Guardian preferred status, which caused ...
