The Department of Health and Human Services announced over $4.8 million in grants to 10 organizations to address factors that contribute to institutional racism within public health, the HHS said Monday.
The awards will go toward identifying new ways to address policies that may further racial health disparities, the agency said.
Projects will take place in California, Connecticut, Indiana, Massachusetts, New Mexico, New York, and South Carolina, said HHS.
