Globus Medical Wins $49M U.S. Defense Logistics Agency Contract

Globus Medical Inc. was awarded a U.S. Defense Logistics Agency contract valued at up to $49 million.

  • U.S. government contract orders made up about 0.6 percent of the company’s revenue in the four quarters ended March 2021

Following is the text from the Defense Department announcement:

Globus Medical has been awarded a maximum $48.9 million fixed-price with economic-price-adjustment, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract for orthopedic spinal trauma procedural packages and supplies under the manufacturer direct program. This was a sole-source acquisition using justification 10 U.S. Code 2304(c)(1), as stated in Federal Acquisition Regulation 6.302-1. This is a five-year contract with no option periods. ...
