Abortion pill maker GenBioPro Inc. has been given the green light by a federal judge to partake in a multi-state lawsuit over access to the drug mifepristone.
GenBioPro Inc., manufacturer of the generic version of the abortion drug, “has an independent reason to intervene” as the lawsuit “directly challenges” access to the copycat version of the medication, Judge Matthew Kacsmaryk said in a Monday order in the US District Court for the Northern District of Texas.
The decision comes in a sprawling lawsuit initially launched by conservative physicians against the Food and Drug Administration over the agency’s decisions on mifepristone. ...
