Gartner Says Dell Top HIT Services Provider

AUSTIN, Texas—Dell Inc. is the top worldwide health care information technology services provider, according to a market share report by Gartner Inc. based on 2009 revenue, the Texas-based technology company announced April 28.

Gartner analyst Kathey Hale, who compiled the report, told BNA that Dell had 4.6 percent of the global market share for health care IT services. Hewlett-Packard was second with 3.6 percent, Affiliated Computer Services ranked third with 3.2 percent, and Computer Sciences Corp. and IBM both ranked fourth with 3.1 percent each.
