Fusion Startup Wins Tokyo Grant for Low-Temperature Technology

Clean Planet Inc., a Japanese energy startup, received a 1 billion yen ($6.8 million) grant from the Tokyo Metropolitan Government to commercialize its low-temperature nuclear fusion technology.

The funds were awarded through a city program aimed at promoting zero-emission technologies, according to a statement Thursday, and Clean Planet will use the grant to help build a production facility.
