Fourth Circuit Won’t Rehear McDonnell’s Appeal

Former Virginia Gov. Bob McDonnell’s (R) request for a rehearing and rehearing en banc was rejected Aug. 11 by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit (United States v. McDonnell, 4th Cir., 15-04019, 8/11/15).

The U.S. Supreme Court is now McDonnell’s last hope to overturn his conviction, which his attorneys have said is their next stop.
