Florida is taking steps to end all vaccine mandates, potentially becoming the first state to pull immunization requirements for schoolchildren as Governor Ron DeSantis seeks to further extend his conservative agenda.

“The Florida Department of Health, in partnership with the governor, is going to be working to end all vaccine mandates in Florida. All of them, all of them, every last one of them,” Florida Surgeon General Joseph Ladapo said at an event in Valrico, near Tampa. Forcing a mandate is “wrong and drips with disdain and slavery.”
