Five Palm Beach, Fla.-area hospitals are urging a federal district court to rule for them in their deceptive trade practices suit against a company that publishes hospital “safety grades.”
It’s undisputed that The Leapfrog Group deliberately engaged in an unfair and deceptive campaign against the hospitals in violation of the Florida Deceptive and Unfair Trade Practices Act, the hospitals said in a motion for summary judgment filed in the US District Court for the Southern District of Florida Tuesday.
Leapfrog disputed the motion’s allegations and said it looks forward to presenting its case in court.
