Insurers vying to manage part of Florida’s $100 billion in Medicaid managed care spending over the next five years expect to learn the fate of their contract bids soon.
Florida is due to announce awards of contracts in the 11 regions of its Medicaid managed care program on April 24. And if the program’s first award process in 2012-13 is any indication, the announcements are likely to lead to legal challenges by the companies that lose out.
