Florida Accuses Planned Parenthood of Misleading Pill Ads

Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier (R) has sued Planned Parenthood Federation of America, accusing it of falsely advertising that abortion-inducing pills “are safer than Tylenol.”

A complaint filed Thursday in the Florida Circuit Court, Santa Rosa County, accuses the reproductive rights advocate of misleading women looking for information about the safety and risks of medicines such as mifepristone. Planned Parenthood knows “the profitable abortion pills they sell are far more dangerous than commonplace over-the-counter medication” but engages in this “deceptive” campaign to induce women to buy them, the complaint says.
