The Medicaid programs of five states will split $22.5 million as part of a larger settlement resolving illegal kickback allegations against dialysis provider DaVita Healthcare Partners, according to announcements Jan. 5-7 by the state attorneys general for Colorado, Florida and Kentucky.
The deal follows a larger Oct. 22 settlement agreement in the same case, in which DaVita agreed to pay $389 million to resolve claims by the federal government (United States ex rel. Barbetta v.
