Financial Fraud Whistleblower Cases Need Finer Touch From OSHA

Overburdened investigators and misunderstanding the law are problems OSHA should address as it looks at revamping how it conducts financial fraud whistleblower investigations, attorneys told Bloomberg Environment.

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s handling of finance-related whistleblower cases is the focus of a public meeting the agency will hold Oct. 16 at Labor Department headquarters in Washington.

“Unless they get more investigators, it is what it is,” Meg Campbell, chair of Ogletree Deakins PC’s whistleblower practice, told Bloomberg Environment from her Atlanta office.
