Field Hockey Player Wins $1.7 Million from US in Concussion Suit

A former American University field hockey player was awarded $1.7 million after a federal trial court in Washington, D.C., found the federal government liable for an active duty Army doctor misdiagnosing her concussion.

Judge Reggie B. Walton of the US District Court for the District of Columbia entered judgment Thursday in favor of plaintiff Jennifer Bradley on her medical malpractice claim against the government, ten months after a multi-day bench trial.
