A federally formed workgroup that will advise three agencies on health information technology policy will meet for the first time April 29.
The Department of Health and Human Services announced April 18 that 29 health care industry and information technology representatives have been named to the Food and Drug Administration Safety and Innovation Act (FDSIA) Workgroup. Three federal officials—one each from the Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT, Federal Communications Commission, and Food and Drug Administration—also will serve as non-voting members of the committee.
