The Food and Drug Administration has named former longtime congressional aide Grace Graham as Deputy Commissioner for Policy, Legislation and International Affairs.
Announced Tuesday in an email to FDA staff, Commissioner Martin Makary said Graham’s appointment follows congressional roles touching on FDA matters, including time spent as an agency policy adviser with the Senate.
Graham joins the agency as “a respected FDA policy thought leader,” having served in various “positions in both houses of Congress focusing on health policy and the FDA’s issues,” Makary said in a staff email reviewed by Bloomberg Law.
