The FDA formally advised managers Monday that the agency will no longer recognize or engage in labor relations with union organizations, according to an email obtained by Bloomberg Law.
The decision follows President Donald Trump’s executive order signed in March that ends collective bargaining with federal unions, according to the email to FDA managers and supervisors signed by Chantal Dawson, acting director for the agency’s Office of Human Capital Management.
“This decision aligns with the implementation of Executive Order 14251, the temporary restraining order, ongoing litigation related to the Exclusions Executive Order, and all other applicable legal directives,” Dawson said. ...
