FDA, DEA Seize 44 Websites Advertising Illicit THC Vape Products

The FDA and DEA say they have seized 44 websites advertising the sale of illicit vaping cartridges containing THC.

  • Action is part of Operation Vapor Lock, as authorities investigate supply chain of vaping products associated with recent lung injuries
  • Some of websites were identified based on interviews with patients and families, and were advertising THC vaping cartridges in various brand names
  • None of the products advertised on 44 websites have been confirmed to be linked to any cases of lung injury
