Farmer Organizations Move to Access Millions in Cancelled Grants

Two dozen organizations joined a lawsuit filed last year challenging US Department of Agriculture grant terminations, asking a federal court to restore $127 million in grants canceled en masse this March.

The Trump administration starting in February 2025 began scrapping nearly all the money awarded under the Increasing Land, Capital, and Market Access Program under the rationale that recipients unlawfully benefited from diversity, equity, and inclusion policies.
