Fake Covid Tests to Get Notice Before Destruction Under FDA Rule

Makers of unauthorized Covid-19 test kits and other devices refused entry into the US would have a chance to testify before the FDA destroys the product under a proposed rule released Thursday.

The proposal (RIN 0910-AI59) outlines the Food and Drug Administration’s plans for carrying out its authority granted in a Trump-era law to destroy counterfeit, adulterated, or misbranded devices sent to the US that are valued at $2,500 or less.
