A California-based manufacturer that creates tests to diagnose fibromyalgia is facing a lawsuit over the marketing of its laboratory developed tests.
The Center for Science in the Public Interest filed a lawsuit Wednesday against EpicGenetics Inc. in the Superior Court of the District of Columbia under the District’s Consumer Protection Procedures Act. The nonprofit group alleges the laboratory marketed false and misleading information for its lab developed tests that diagnose fibromyalgia, a chronic disorder that causes body-wide pain and fatigue.
