The EPA suggested states, companies, and other parties use underground injection storage wells, landfills, and thermal treatment to dispose or destroy PFAS wastes, according to updated guidance the agency issued Thursday.
The Environmental Protection Agency’s release of its third Interim Guidance for PFAS Destruction and Disposal fulfills a pledge Administrator Lee Zeldin made last year to more frequently provide insight into the effectiveness of available treatment technologies to help address the spectrum of PFAS wastes on military and other sites.
