Several environmental organizations rebuked a Colorado-based conservation group’s federal court effort to stop a gray wolf reintroduction program in the state.
The Center for Biological Diversity, Humane Society of the United States, and Western Watersheds Project in a brief filed Oct. 25 said the Colorado Conservation Alliance “provides no basis” to derail the state’s voter-mandated program.
The alliance’s only remaining claim in the case filed in the US District Court for the District of Colorado challenges the US Fish and Wildlife Service’s post-release actions, not the actual wolf releases, the three environmental groups said. That means a court order against ...
