ST. LOUIS—Kansas will let stand a state court order barring enforcement of a newly enacted statute and regulations governing the licensing of abortion clinics during the pendency of a lawsuit over the constitutionality of the statute and regulations, according to a Dec. 2 court document (Hodes & Nauser MDs PA v. Moser).
The lawsuit, which was filed Nov. 9 in Kansas District Court, Shawnee County, concerns a statute and regulations that impose physical plant requirements and other restrictions on abortion clinics.
