Employer Group Forges Ahead With Primary Care Initiative

An employer group is advancing its initiative this week on advanced primary care plans that combine behavioral and physical health services to get high-quality outcomes at lower cost.

The Purchaser Business Group on Health, which represents nearly 40 large private and public employers that provide health-care coverage to more than 20 million Americans, is requesting proposals from health-care providers to scale up initiatives to rein in costs while keeping quality high.
