Dow intends to demonstrate that advanced small modular nuclear reactors, backed by the Energy Department, can lower emissions at a chemical manufacturing plant in Texas.
Dow and X-energy Reactor Company, LLC, the Maryland-based developer of the advanced reactor design, announced Thursday it will seek to scale up a four-reactor advanced nuclear plant at Dow’s UCC Seadrift Operations site in Seadrift, Texas.
