An Indiana physician is closer to beating retail pharmacy giant CVS Pharmacy Inc. after a federal district court said its employees defamed him (Mimms v. CVS Pharmacy, Inc., 2017 BL 359, S.D. Ind., No. 1:15-cv-970, 1/3/17).
CVS employees allegedly told customers they wouldn’t fill prescriptions written by Dr. Anthony Mimms because he was under investigation by the Drug Enforcement Administration, he operated a pill mill, he had been arrested or soon would be and he had been jailed.
