Leading doctors’ advocacy groups are calling for a federal appeals court to overturn West Virginia’s restrictions on using abortion-inducing drugs, including mifepristone.
The “overwhelming weight of scientific evidence and two decades of medical practice show that mifepristone is safe and effective,” the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, the Society for Maternal-Fetal Medicine, and the Society of Family Planning told the US Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit on Wednesday.
