Doctor’s Discrimination Claims Reinstated, But Dismissal of Antitrust Allegations Upheld

A federal trial court erred in dismissing discrimination claims brought against a New York hospital and a multispecialty physician practice group by a physician who was subjected to a precautionary suspension of his medical staff privileges, a federal appeals court ruled July 16 (Bhanusali v. Orange Reg’l Med. Ctr., 2014 BL 197655, 2d Cir., 13-3426-cv, summary order 7/16/14).
