A Chicago physician can’t stop the CMS from recouping just over $2.9 million in Medicare overpayments and fees while the doctor’s administrative appeal of the overpayment determination is pending, a federal court ruled Nov. 30 (Ivanchenko v. Burwell, 2016 BL 397394, N.D. Ill., No. 1:16-cv-9056, 11/30/16).
