DLA Piper, a global law firm, announced the appointment of Russel Drew as Canada Managing Partner, who will also join the firm’s US Executive Committee, the firm said Monday.
Drew has been with the firm for a decade and has advised on some of the largest and most complex transactions in Canada, with a corporate practice focused on mergers and acquisitions, private equity, and venture capital matters. He succeeds Robert Seidel, whose leadership since 2015 has been instrumental in shaping DLA Piper’s Canadian presence, the firm said. The appointment is effective from Jan. 1.
